Normally I would do a post about a film in my wordpress account. But one of the reasons this film was so phenomenal were the clothes and the style. Therefore, I post in here.
Oh. Wow. Atonement, starring Keira Knightley and James McAvoy (two of the most beautiful people ever and two of the favourite actors), is one of the best films I have ever seen in my entire life. Every shot was like a painting (someone on BBC Nighttime thought Edward Hopper, I agree). The acting was absolutely moving. The clothing? I couldn't take my eyes off of it. Especially the green dress to the left. Oh dear lord, it is fantastic. I can't find a lookalike anywhere.
Briony (age 18) had the best pair of Oxford's ever. I can't seem to find a pair that aren't too tall. Too tall for me is anything bigger than 2 or 2 1/2 inches.
Here are some more pictures of the amazing Keira:
That hat and jacket! Aaaah.
Again, another gorgeous late thirties jacket. Damn I love the thirties.
You can't really tell from the image, but she was wearing this beautiful sheer top over with a sheer skirt wrap thing with an adorable slip underneath (which she stripped down to and dove into a fountain in front of Robbie aka James. Amazing.)
She is phenomenal. A classic beauty. Did I mention I plan on getting my hair done like that? Because I am. Except with fringe (or bangs) because I love my fringe. This film was incredible. It is R for sexual scenes, language and disturbing war images. But it is so beautiful. A series of gorgeous paintings with an amazing score. Go see it.
