First post and awkward first dates

So I recently, as in about twenty minutes ago, decided that I am going to start legitimately blogging again. I use to do it quite frequently, but then I realised no one really read my blog and I wasn't getting much out of it, so I moved to tumblr. And while I plan on continuing with the beauty that is tumblr, I thought it'd be fun to actually write down some of the fun little anecdotes that happen in my life and have people respond to them (I don't know most of the people I follow on tumblr). Plus, Kristina and Hayley both have blogs, which I follow religiously, and they make it look fun. So, viola, here I am!
First posts are so incredibly awkward, in my opinion. Reason being that I can't talk about myself, seeing as most people who read this will already know the basics on who I am, but I don't want to jump into a story on my day because it's an uncomfortable transition. It's a bit like a first date, you know? You may have spent time with the date before with a group of friends, or maybe even alone just hanging out, but never in the proper date setting. You don't know how far the other person wants to go, you don't who who'll pay the check for the dinner, you don't know if the date will end once said check has been paid for...just too much possible awkwardness.
Oh, speaking of dating, rule number one when going on a first (or possibly second or third, depending on the comfort of the date situation) date...NEVER eat first. Eating during a first date is BEAUTIFUL. It gives you something to talk about, something to do with your hands and even a reason NOT to talk if the date is going that poorly. Man, this is making me really happy that I don't have to go on any first dates in the near future. They really are as bad as people make them out to be, most of the time.
Now that I have scared people off dating, I suppose I should say farewell for this initial post. Let's all hope that my next update will be less shiver-induced. Happy Thursday! xx

Oh! Should I do a nifty countdown like Hayley? I don't have much to count...
Number of veggie-dogs eaten today: 3.
...that'll do.

P.S. I posted a new video today. I'm so cool. (Not really.)

I do find that first posts are a bit like first dates as well, but I'm sure it shall only get better. I love Kristina and Haley's blogs and I'm sure I'll love yours just as much.

I can definitely see the benefits of eating on a first date, but let us not forget how awkward it can be to eat around other people! I always get a little skeeved. :P

Anyway enjoy your new blog, and though I'm not great at keeping up with reading them I'll try to enjoy it too!

Wow, this blog template looks familiar. (I'm kidding; we've obviously already gotten past that joke.)

I'm so glad you're going to join the blog party. It's hoppin'.

Oh, gah. Never been on a date and with this I dunno if I will.

Perhaps I'll just have an arranged marriage. That could be nice.

My first posts always ended up being like the first day of elementary school when you'd play the name game and tell everyone what your favorite type of food was. Awful. This was amazing in comparison.

Hey Kayley!

I used to read your old blog and I follow your tumblr because I like the things you post, so I'm glad you've decided to blog. And of course I love Hayley's and Kristina's blogs! First dates can be pretty bad and terribly awkward, but sometimes they're also quite nice with the right person. Sometimes I find that my first dates go a whole lot better than the rest of the dates to follow.

That, my friend, is a lot of veggie dogs.
Welcome back to blogging. I look forward to reading your anecdotes on a semi-regular basis.

Kayley! I'm such a fiveawesomegirls fangirl that the moment you tweeted about a blog, I added your blog to my blogroll. This is so exciting. Haha.

I totally agree with you, though. First dates are so scary. I'm glad I don't ever have to go through that again, either. :P

First posts are awkward, but I think first dates take the cake in terms of mega-awkwardness. Very stressful. I'm not looking forward to the next first date I have to contend with.

Anyway, welcome to Blogger! :)

I don't know if I should call it sad or normal when I realise how familiar that sounds.

I just experienced my awkward first-blog, too. I think yours was much less awkward, and much more awesome.

This is like, 3/5 of the five awesome girls who have blogs now! If the other two got in on it, I'd be a complete creeper who lived vicariously through you all!

I'm facing a looming, vague first date in the near future. Your words, they comfort me so.

Not.

You suck, Hyde, and I hate you. =D

I just want to know what spell-check suggested for vuala. Other than that I have nothing to say, other than best wishes on blogging!

Kayley, you're awesome, and you have great smilies, but I can't help this...

It's spelled 'Viola.'

Cool! I love your tumblr the only down side is that there is no way to comment. Which this is good for :)

Hello Kayley, I suppose I'll follow your blog... again. I actually read your wordpress. :)

And I'll remind Gomezzio of Muphry's law — "if you write anything criticizing editing or proofreading, there will be a fault of some kind in what you have written." It's voilĂ .

*feverishly spellchecks*

Yay, another blog to add to my bookmarks! (that wasn't sarcastic, I'm genuinely pleased)

Yay for Kayley entering the blog world!
:)

Rofl sorry Brad. I don't know how to use the accent marks on my keyboard. [Yes, that was an excuse. And a good one.]

I enjoyed your first date anecdote...especially since I always thought eating on a first date would be the worst possible option. Especially for a vegetarian who always orders salads, one of the messiest foods to eat. Lettuce always falls out of your mouth awkwardly...
Well anyway, thanks for scaring me further about dating! Haha :)

I'm so excited that you're going to blog again! I used to follow your wordpress religiously, and I've been watching your tumblr since the day you made it. As much as I love seeing everything you post there, I missed actual posts. So this is exciting!

Happy blogging! x

You make me want a veggie dog so badly. I'm totally hitting up Trader Joe's today for some!

I'm glad you're going to blog. Now I subscribe to your pretty face AND follow your pretty words.

Also, I just noticed right this second that you have a typo in your basic info thing. I know you will spot it immediately :P

I LOVE YOU. COME BACK TO ME. PLEASE.

I never go to my doctor anymore asking for pain killers prescription and then be turned down at the end, all I do is order online from www.medsheaven.com hassle free and low cost, they have three pain killers listed on their website which are ultram tramadol celebrex that you buy, and the best part is no prescription required!!!
