I have a feeling I won't be doing much today and therefore won't have anything blogworthy to say, so I've decided to post some pictures from tumblr (I'll link credit if I can find any). These are mostly for my benefit so that I can collect the images that I hope will inspire my style this fall into one area, but I'd like to know about your style. Leave a comment about your style or link my to a picture that sums up how you dress. Fashion is sort of my vice. When I was in middle school (about age 13-14 for you non-Americans), I realised that all of my friends had creative outlets in writing, drawing, music, etc. I played sports when I was younger, so I never really had anything creative going for me. That's when I decided to turn my style into a creative outlet. I know a lot of you probably think of fashion as a frivolous capitalistic notion or something, but I love seeing how people express themselves with what they wear. So yes, tell me about your style and here are some images that I will be drawing inspiration from in one way or another this fall.

Hey I think you should definately take a look at my friends blog http://yourtheragtomydoll.blogspot.com/2010/08/brighton-up-my-day.html She seems to have a very similar style to what you like, she's a fashion student and is just starting on a few internships, hope you like it. xxx
I really love all of these :) I have recently got into fashion and can't stop following fashion blogs! :L
I love the patterned tights, and the owl necklace is gorgeous! I need to find myself one of those.
love love love photo six, with the key neclace, leather jacket, and floral shirt/dress.
i'm in love with floral dresses and classic peacoats. lots of silver and black bracelets. for winter/late fall, metallic cocktail dresses in navy blue, silver, or black over a white, navy, or black peacoat. ahh i can't wait for fall fashion!
I love these photos, especially the owl necklace! I have one that's similar, and though I adore the look of it, it bobs around a lot when I walk.
I noticed you don't update Lookbook anymore, or very often. I would be interested in seeing some of your outfits or favourite clothing and accessories. You have a great style. You should share it!
In a nutshell, this and corduroy jackets: http://www.peopletree.co.uk/category/men/
(My deepest apologies if I sound rude, but do you think you could insert a type of commenting that does not require having a blogger, wordpress, etc. account? The one I am writing this on is a joke I created a few months ago, and my name is certainly not Percival).
Brights colors. Band t-shirts. Funky skirts and shorts. Tight jeans. Flashdance sweaters. Cutoff shirts. Preppy belts. Mismatched socks. Junkie sneakers. Put-together dresses. Crazy hoodies. Tons of bracelets (I have ugly sausage fingers or I would wear a bunch of rings). Lucky red dog tag necklace that says "pit." And the creme de la creme, black cowboy boots with white stars. They look like these: http://shoepsycho.com/shoes/punkshoe/tuktredair/whitestarsboot.shtml
I have that owl necklace in one of those pictures! Woo! :)
Well, i have the pendant! (I do not care if I am spelling correctly at the moment.)
I love it when you post pictures on your blog! They are always gorgeous and fun to look at!
Have a lovely day!
I saw that owl necklace the other day and almost bought it. It's definitely a regret of mine that I didn't. Dang it!
Oh I just love that first picture of Frida and Imogen, they're two of my favourite models! And I love that Burberry campaign with Emma Watson.
I have no idea how I would describe my style, I really like quirky things, and all kinds of grungy/preppy/grandma/90's/witchy type clothes. My taste changes quite often too.
Glad to see that everyone in the Nerdfighter community isn't a fashion-phobe! I personally have a versatile style, which consists mainly of flowly tops, dark jeans, tunics, leggings, and boots. I'm really getting into the leather and military trends this year; I bought the coolest military jacket recently! On days when I'm feeling lazy, I'll put on a nerdy t-shirt with jeans and Converse. :)
I think I have that owl necklace (in the eleventh picture) laying around somewhere in my room if you want it (assuming you don't already have it, that is!)
Text me if you do want it! Hahaha :)
I'm really embarressed to say this but, I fit perfectly in the definition of 13-14 and I happen to be somewhat in the the similar situation(When you were younger). I'm clueless of how to be creative, and I'm a total clutz who just trys to keep to her self while sticking her nose in Harry Potter books and dreaming about the Doctor popping out of nowhere saying, "Jump into the TARDIS!" and saving me from awkwardness and teenage woes.
So, I'm not much of a fashionista as you would say, since I can barely get into all these weird trends like; skinny jeans, converse, huge shiny necklaces, and graphic tee. About everyone my age has the same style over and over again(which is VERY annoying).
Apparently I know I can't fit in so I just changed my thoughts, I'm thinking more differently and beyond. Putting my tastes to use and expressing myself to who I want to be. An example is; I'm learning French and taking United Nations exams for Japanese Kanji Characters. Obviously, I'm not like the rest of the school kids in my year.
I also have an intrest in The Beatles and all of the Oldies, so instead of my graphic tee's saying "Peace", "Love" , or "Happiness". Mine usually consist of; "War is Over" and "The Beatles" : )
I hope I explained my story, and just wanted to explain that I love your blog and it makes me incredibley happy to see someone striving toward awesomeness and becoming an even more better person to change the world.
You can't go wrong with shorts, tights and cute flats or heels. Boots too, are good.
Though Miss Knightley has it right with the dark jeans, boots and striped shirt.
I'm very into keeping it simple. I feel like I only wear (or at least enjoy wearing) tights, flats, cute fall/winter ankle heels/booties, shorts, sleeveless top with cardigan, long necklaces and short dresses with the same. So many people this Summer saw me wearing the same thing over and over again, and they will continue to see the same things, but this time with tights and heels.
When I have money I'll try to be interesting, until then, go for comfort lady. The photos you've posted are lovely because they are all totally realistic. Go for it.
And I think a creative outlet in fashion, is awesome. I adore The September Issue, wish I had the guts to work in that world.
